COVID-19 FAQs

The health and safety of our retreat guests and host communities are a top priority. We are working extremely hard on your next wellness experience to ensure your peace of mind when you retreat with us.

We thank you for your ongoing patience and flexibility as we navigate through the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Please refer to the FAQs below for answers to commonly asked questions. Please note that the cancelation policies outlined below will supersede those of our standard 'Terms of Use for Retreats' until further notice.

When will you host your next wellness retreat?

We will host our next wellness retreat only when it is safe to do so, and the following applies:

  • The retreat location country borders are open to travelers without quarantine restrictions upon arrival.

  • Our team and local hosts can facilitate a wellness retreat and comply with local Covid-19 protocols without negatively affecting the guest experience.

What Covid-19 safety protocols can I expect on the trip?

We will have a comprehensive Covid Prevention System in place at each of our retreat locations. We will also require all guests to complete a Covid Prevention Statement and Waiver ahead of travel. Minimally, on all retreats, you can expect the following:

  • Excellent hygiene standards: Each of our retreat locations has a protocol in place that covers their cleaning, hygiene, and disinfection processes, how they manage public areas and shared bathrooms, staff training, the use of PPE, and local testing procedures.

  • Expert local information: We have a great relationship with all of our local hosts, who are closely monitoring their countries' situation on the ground and providing up-to-date information to ensure we have a safe and unforgettable experience.

  • Plenty of space in yoga and wellness classes: Whenever possible, all of our fitness and yoga classes will take place outside. If this is not possible, we will set up our space adhering to the 2-meter rule between mats. We may need to split classes to comply with protocols, which we would inform you of in advance. Depending on the pandemic's status at the time of your retreat, we may ask you to bring your own yoga mat with you (and a belt and blocks if you usually practice with them). We will give you advance notice if this is the case.

  • Fresh air: We always offer plenty of outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking, and boating, ensuring plenty of post-lockdown nature time. Our local vendors and those providing transfers also have Covid-19 safety protocols in place.

  • PCR testing: We may ask you to complete and present a negative PCR test result before joining a retreat, even if not required by retreat host country guidelines. We will also ask you to confirm that you will follow your home country's rules about testing and quarantine upon return.

Will I be able to book a massage during my retreat?

Yes. However, we will operate a pre-booking system to ensure thorough cleaning of equipment and space between guests. We ask you to shower in your own bathroom before service. Our massage therapists will follow a clear hygiene protocol. We may require you to wear a face mask during all treatments.

What happens if the retreat is canceled or postponed due to Covid-19 travel restrictions?

If new travel restrictions emerge and we have to cancel your retreat, we will refund all payments including your deposit within 14 days. We will do our best to reschedule and ask you to transfer your booking and payments to the new dates rather than cancel. If you cannot attend the new retreat dates but are willing to accept a credit voucher, you can use this for any other retreat with no expiration. If you prefer a refund, we will initiate a full refund within 14 days. Your $500 deposit is fully refundable only if we have to cancel or postpone the retreat on our end.

Should I buy travel medical insurance?

We require guests to purchase travel medical insurance for all of our retreats. We strongly recommend travel insurance covering you for medical costs, repatriation, and Covid-19.

What happens if I develop Covid symptoms while on a retreat?

Should you develop Coronavirus symptoms while on a retreat, we will assist you with testing and receiving medical attention as soon as possible. We require all guests to have travel medical insurance. We strongly recommend buying a policy that includes coverage for expenses should you fall ill from Covid-19, as you are responsible for fees incurred due to testing, hospitalization, treatment, or quarantine.

What happens if my flights are canceled, but the retreat is still going to run?

First, please contact the airline to check your options. Your airline should offer you an alternative flight, a refund, or a credit. If there are no longer any flight options available to you, please contact us to discuss your booking options. Again, we strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance that allows you to "cancel for any reason" if you cannot attend your retreat.

I no longer want to travel. What are my options?

We will run a retreat only if it is safe to do so. If we are moving forward with a retreat, but you decide to cancel, our standard ‘Terms of Use for Retreats’ applies. Again, we strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance that allows you to "cancel for any reason" if you cannot attend your retreat.

What happens if not enough people book a retreat?

All retreats have a minimum number of guests needed to run successfully. Usually, there is no issue with this, but with the uncertainty of Covid-19, there is a possibility that we will have to cancel your retreat. If we have to postpone or cancel a retreat because we did not achieve the guest minimum, we will do so 4-6 weeks before the start date. We will confirm all timelines in writing. We will do our best to reschedule and ask you to transfer your booking and payments to the new dates rather than cancel. If you cannot attend the new retreat dates but are willing to accept a credit voucher, you can use this for any other retreat with no expiration. If you prefer a refund, we will initiate a full refund, including your deposit, within 14 days. Your $500 deposit is fully refundable only if we have to cancel or postpone the retreat on our end.
